At least ten Norwegians are under investigation for ordering live broadcasts of sexual abuse of children in the Philippines, according to newspaper VG.
–  Although we have very recently become aware of these new methods of committing abuses, it’s clear that the cases that we know of are just the tip of the iceberg,  Lena Reif, head of section for sexual offenses at NCIS says.
The abuse broadcasts are sent directly to paying customers over the internet, who are looking them and also may give direct instructions to the children in the broadcasts. One of the Norwegian men, a 55 year old man from Oslo, has been in custody since August last year,  the newspaper VG writes.
The man is charged with, among other things, having abused children under 16 years for sexual purposes, and for threatening  behavior through the internet in order to to get children to perform sexual intercourse with each other or themselves.
According to VG, the man confessed that he pays to watch the live broadcasts of the sexual  abuse of children, and that he has shown this to other children that he has come into contact with on other websites.
