The police warns of slippery roads in several places in the country

The mild weather leads to very slippery roads in eastern and western Norway Saturday. In South Trondelag, there have been several incidents where cars have run into a ditch in the morning hours.

At 7:20 am Saturday  police in Trondelag Police District reported two such incidents in the Trondheim area.

A car has driven into the ditch on the E6 about 500 meters south of Sandmoen. There is also a car in the ditch the top of Okstad,  the local newspaper Adresseavisen writes.

No one was seriously injured in accidents.

Oslo Police District writes on Twitter that they ask people to drive carefully because of very slippery roads.

In MØre and Romsdal  the mild and rainy weather leads to extremely slippery roads and hazardous driving conditions.

– The mild weather that arrived on Friday night has created  a major problem. Especially in coastal areas, the driving conditions are difficult, said the road traffic center to NRK.

According to police, there have also been several  incidents of cars running into a ditch during the night because of freezing rain and snow that has turned into ice.
