The  Swedish  state will  provide work experience for refugees in Sweden

The government of Sweden plans  to create 1,000 government-sponsored  internships at public institutions for refugees  who have been granted residence permits.

The refugees can thus can get work experience at one of 203 different government agencies. The government hopes the measure  will  help  refugees  with residence  permits  in enter ing the labor market, by giving them the opportunity to network and  making them become better at speaking  Swedish.

Arbetsförmedlingen  hope the measure will be implemented.

– We welcome this, because  it increases our chance to get internships, says Patrik Svensson, Press Manager at Arbetsförmedlingen.
