Three people have been flown to a hospital in Bodø by air ambulance after a boat caught fire in Brettesnes outside Svolvaer.

In all, six people are said to have been onboard the boat. Three people have been flown to a hospital in Bodø, while two are being handled locally.
Two of the three who were transported to Bodø after the boat fire were treated for burns, said the press secretary at Nordland Hospital, Randi Angelsen, to Lofotposten.
“There is no concern of life-threatening injuries. Two of the wounded who received burns have now been treated. According to the doctor, there is no damage to the majority of their bodies. The third had breathed in smoke and has been treated for this,” says Angelsen.
Police said there were reports of an explosion in the boat, according to TV 2. The sequence of events is not yet known.
“We received the first notice of a boat fire at 10:21. This fire was under control, but a little later, reports came in that there had been an explosion on a boat in the same area,” said operations manager Kåre Munkvold from the Nordland police channel.
