Two women in their 20s and one man in his 50s, all Swedish nationals, have been arrested and charged with murder after a Polish man in his 40s was found murdered in Kristiansand on Thursday night.

Police received notification at 11:47pm Thursday night about the stabbing in an apartment in the center of Kristiansand.

– We arrived quickly, and we found a man who was stabbed. He was taken care of, first by the police and then by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene, said operations manager Sveinung Alsaker of Agder police to news agency NTB.

Poles killed

They killed a Polish man who was found inside the apartment.

They initiated resuscitation attempts, but at 12:30am, the man was pronounced dead, said prosecutor manager Cecilie Pedersen Hille at a news conference on Friday.

The police were called out to a stabbing, but do not want to say anything about the cause of death now. The deceased shall be examined, and they expect a preliminary autopsy report will be ready Monday.

Swedes charged

In connection with the emergency police arrested a man near the place. Around 3:30am and another two women were also arrested in the case. All are Swedish nationals, police said.

The two women were arrested in or near the apartment where police believe the murder happened. None of those involved are known to the police.

All are residents at the apartment, and there is a relationship between all four, said police at the press conference.

The men accused the women. Police will be remanding them to custody and assume that incarceration meetings can be conducted Saturday or Monday.
