US President-elect, Donald Trump is chosen as the person of the year by Time magazine.

The award was announced Wednesday morning on NBC’s “Today” program. He will be the 90th person chosen over years. Time magazine holds the competition, pointing out the person who had the most influence – for better or worse – on the events during the past calendar year.

– It is a great honor. This means a lot, says Trump said in a telephone during the program.

The giant property owner from New York went from being the weaker party in the US presidential election to win over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

According to the editor of the magazine, Nancy Gibbs, Clinton was selected as second person this time also.
