Trailer with live fish overturned

Two men were driven to the emergency room after a trailer loaded with live fish overturned at Orkdal in Sør-Trøndelag.

– They got some bumps during the incident and have pain in different locations, said operations manager Astrid Metlid of Sor-Trondelag police.

The driver is a 29 year old man and the passenger a 35 year old man. The two, both Norwegians, came out of the vehicle before emergency services arrived at the accident site in Skjenalddalen.

Police reported the accident on Twitter at 9:10am on Sunday morning. The trailer weighed 40 tonnes according to the driver, police said.

– The vehicle was heading towards Hitra with fish for businesses on the islands. said Metlid Sunday morning. Shortly after police were notified that the live cargo bound for Freya was considered lost.
