30,000 travelers will be affected when work on Follo line with the country’s longest railway tunnel closes all trains east and north from Oslo next week.

– Fewer people travel now than normal, so this is a good time to shut the railroad down, said Transport Minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen of NTB last Friday.

The cancelations apply to Gjøvik train, Østfold train and Gardermon train from Monday to Sunday this upcoming week. There have been 300 buses set up to replace the trains between Oslo Central Station, Grefsen, Bryn, Lillestrom and Ski.

The buses are set up beside track 19 at Oslo Central station. Disembarking also at Tollbukaia.
Follo Court Project is the largest transport project in Norway so far. An important part of the project is the construction of the country’s longest railway tunnel of 20 kilometers.

Follo line includes new double track between Oslo Central Station and public transport hub Ski, extensive work on the Oslo Central Station and construction of a new ski station.
The main work on the project started already last year, but only in 2021 will Follo line will be completed.
