Tropical night in Finnmark

Early Sunday morning, for the first time this year there was a tropical night in Finnmark, and the heat continued throughout the day.

According to the Meteorological Department early Sunday measured a minimum temperature of 20 degrees at Makkaur Lighthouse in eastern Finnmark and 20.1 degrees in Nuvsvåg in West Finnmark.

According to the weather network called weather and wind, this is the earliest tropical weather measured in Finnmark in 12 years.

The newspaper Nordlys wrote that the temperature at eight o’clock in the morning was already up to 23 degrees in several places around eastern Finnmark.

– It is very hot in Finnmark, and especially in the east, we are enjoying the very nice weather now, said state meteorologist Kristen Gislefoss.

He promised that the heat will stay, but predicts rain showers during the day.
