TV journalist goes in for doctor’s check in Pakistan

TV 2 journalist Kadafi Zaman went in for a medical check up at a hospital in Gujrat, Pakistan on Tuesday.

 

The news agency, AP reports as they met the Norwegian at the hospital.

Zaman was arrested and beaten by police when he was reporting on a political demonstration in the city of Gujrat, northeast of Pakistan, on Friday. He was released on bail Monday.

Pakistan has elections on 25 July, and the authorities have put a ban on demonstrations.

Zaman has announced that he has no plans to go home to Norway and will continue to report on the election.
