A man (42) and a woman of the same age are charged with having made hateful and racist remarks to passengers on a bus in Oslo. The trial starts in Oslo District Court next week.

The offensive statements were directed against three people, as well as other passengers and random passers of foreign origin on a bus in August last year.
The man and woman are both charged with having made their remarks because of the persons’ religion, race, color or national or ethnic origin.
According to the indictment they have, among other things, shouted “you have nothing to do in this country , you do not have a single shit to do in this country, you are a garbage can” and “fucking sick religion.”
The man is also accused of  threatening a woman in her mid-20s and her children with murder. According to the indictment, the utterance was under the circumstances likely to cause fear.
The Oslo District Court has set aside two days for the case, which starts on Thursday next week.
