Two Lithuanian men were stabbed by a compatriot in Notodden on late Sunday. The two escaped with light injuries .
– One of them was hit in the shoulder, while the other man was hit in the neck. Things could have gone terribly wrong for the latter, and the reason that it didn’t is probably because he got lucky, operations manager Vidar Aaltvedt in South-East police told the news agency NTB. The two who were stabbed, have been treated in the hospital and how now been released from the hospital.
He says the three men knew each other, but that there is nothing to suggest that they are family. They were not known by the police before, and there is nothing to indicate that they have any connection to Notodden.
– In addition to these three, we also spoke with a fourth man, who was nearby and helped the two aggrieved to the emergency room, Aaltvedt says. The motive for the stabbing is not yet known.
– We do not know exactly how this happened, but it happened outside in or near Notodden center, the Operations Officer explains.
The police was notified of the stabbing at 22.52 on Sunday evening.
