Ubaydullah Hussain (31) is the first in Norway to be charged with terrorist recruitment. He also helped with advice, purchasing the equipment and disclosure of contact information for IS personnel.

He, according to the indictment has helped five named individuals, in addition to having recruited at least two converts, reported TV2 news.

One of these converts, a 19 year old, was arrested in Sweden last year and has been indicted for terrorist charges.

– He refuses guilt, the defenders lawyer John Christian Elden, said.
The trial starts in Oslo District Court on November 3. The court has set aside six weeks for processing.

In February 2014, Ubaydullah Hussain was  sentenced to 120 days in jail for threats. He was charged with inciting terrorism, having praised acts of terrorism and posting a photo of convicted terrorists on a Facebook profile in 2013, but was acquitted by the Oslo District Court.

When the Court of Appeal dealt with the appeal in early summer last year, he was again acquitted of inciting terrorism, but his threats verdict was upheld. This judgment was not appealed and are thus enforceable.
