UN promises sanctions against North Korea

The UN Security Council will seek to impose   rapid and effective sanctions against North Korea after the rocket launch Sunday.

In a statement from the UN Security Council, Sunday  the council states that the launch has strengthened the Security Council decision to implement the necessary measures, that they had previously notified would be put inot motion if North Korea continued to break international sanctions.

The Security Council also announced that it will adopt a new resolution as quickly as possible.
