A number of places along the coast showed temperatures above 15 plus degrees before 7 am Thursday morning. November may set record temperatures, according to the meteorologists.

– “Should this weather continue, it can actually happen. According to forecasts for next week, it looks like it will happen in a lot of places,” says State Meteorologist Trond Lien at Meteorological Institute to NRK.

An overview of temperatures at 7 am Thursday morning, shows that it was over 15 degrees at, at least seven places in Møre og Romsdal. The warmest was Ålesund with 16.3 degrees.

Also in Finnmark, especially in the inner areas, temperatures are well above normal, according to Lien. Many rivers and lakes have no ice, and instead of snow, there’s still green grass in many places.

Along the coast, temperatures are mild with them up to five degrees above normal.

“So it’s not just all of Finnmark when temperatures are concerned, though the fluctuations are less on the coast,” says Lien.
