The water from the leak flooded the streets in Vika in Oslo on Tuesday morning. The leak blocked several streets.

Just before 8.30am the police announced that the leak had been stopped and the traffic in the area could go back to normal.
Munkedamsveien, Cort Adelers gate and Filipstadveien were blocked by water. Police were told about the leak around six o’clock Wednesday morning. The  reason was probably due to a ruptured water main.
The fire department came out with six cars. In addition, the police and other agencies were in place.
The fire department and Oslo water and wastewater agency will have to stay on for many hours to pump away the water and there are several buildings on both sides of Munkedamsveien whose cellars have been flooded.
– We are now trying to get an overview of the extent of the damage, says Brigadier General Tor Arne Elverum NRK news.
