A woman was on Thursday stabbed at Bekkestua when she surprised a burglar. Police are searching for the perpetrator.
The 59-year-old woman is not injured seriously and is taken to hospital, mentioned by police.
– The woman had been out and worked in the garden and left the door open then she went in while the man was in the kitchen, said operations Tora Jordan from Oslo police district to news agency NTB.
Police assume that the man was in the house for stealing purpose and he has stabbed the woman in the arms and legs with a knife from the kitchen.
The man ran from the place and the woman called an ambulance.
– Police is following the case closely and we get enough to patrol the area throughout the night, said Jordan.
They go door to door in the community and seek with police dogs and more patrols.
Police said that the perpetrator is around 40 years with dark pants and light blue or gray t-shirt. He has dark hair and may be with southern or eastern European origin.
