Youths in mass brawl at Linderud in Oslo

The police turned out Friday night after several witnesses reported armed youth in a mass brawl at Linderud in Oslo.

The police was notified about the incident at 17.30 on Friday. Witnesses reported that people carrying knives had been observed during a large scuffle on the football field at Linderud in Groruddalen in Oslo.
– We were notified that young people with knives and stun guns had been observed, but when the police patrol arrived, they scattered and ran away,  operations manager Rune Hekkelstrand in Oslo police said.
Witnesses are to have explained that about 45 young people participated in the brawl, newspaper VG reports. The police found no weapon when they arrived at the place where the brawl had taken place.
– The fight has broken up and many youths have run away from the place. We have caught some youths and are trying to find out more about what’s happened. We have not been notified of any people stabbed with knives, but witnesses claim to have observed some of the people fighting carrying knives. None are seriously injured, but there probably are several who have been beaten, the operations center  writes at Twitter.
