Cecilia Brækhus (Norway) beat Ivana Habazin in points and has collected all the great champion belts in female boxing as of September 2014.

Now, the IBF has named her ‘World’s Female Fighter of the Year’.
The only belt she was missing was the World Championship belt in the welterweight from the International Boxing Federation when she met Habazin in Copenhagen. From before, she had champion belts from the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO).
She became world champion the first time when she beat Danish Vinnie Skovgaard in Kiel 14 on March 2009. This means that she spent more than five years gathering all the major belts.
IBF writes that Brækhus’ sovereignty and amazing career is a big contribution to the renowned association honoring her as ‘IBF Female Fighter of the Year’.
In a press release from First Lady Promotion, it is stated that Brækhus is going to travel to Beijing, China next week to receive the award.
Currently, Brækhus and her company are working to get permission to fight the first pro competition on Norwegian soil since the association repealed in 1981. John Christian Elden, one of Brækhus’ advocates, has previously said to news agency NTB that the fight is to happen this fall.
Cecilia Brækhus has so far in her career fought in 28 fights as a professional and won all of them.
