Ada Hegerberg told Aftenposten newspaper that nothing has changed when it comes to her decision to say no to the Norwegian national team in football.
On Tuesday, the Norwegian women qualified for next year’s World Cup in France after winning 2-1 against the European champions, the Netherlands.
The match happened without Lyon star, Hegerberg, who said no to further participation on the national team after last year’s disappointing EM. To Aftenposten, she said she has no plans for any comeback.
“My decision was not based on whether the national team came wins matches or not in the future. Nothing has changed the choice I’ve taken,’’ said Hegerberg.
She added that she wishes the national team good luck in the World Cup.
