Handball: Ten years ago Camilla Herrem, while watching TV, saw Norway sweep all opposition in the 2006 European Championship held in Sweden. Friday, she can send the Norwegian handball team to another final in Sweden.
Two years after the 2006 championship, she made her break through onto the national team.
After that, Herrem has played in seven international finals and has only lost one (Euro 2012 against Montenegro).
– I remember 2008 in Macedonia very well, since it was my first gold. Each one has its charm, and I remember little bits and pieces from each one, says Herrem to news agency NTB.

– In 2006, Norway won the European Championships in Sweden and all of their eight games.
– I remember watching all of the matches and finals (on TV). Kari-Mette (Johansen) scored nine out of nine shots. I thought she was the world’s best handball winger.
And that evening while sitting at home, I watched and learned from her. After the 35-24 win over the Czech Republic in the game on Wednesday evening which started at 20.45, I didn’t fall asleep until three o’clock on Thursday morning.
– France?
– It will be tough. I think Estelle Nze Minko has played a fantastic in the championships. We will have to try and hinder her a little and play a tighter defence.
I saw Serbia’s match against France, and I think the Serbs had some counter attack goals.
– The whole team needs to run. It doesn’t help if only one person runs. Everyone must be involved, says Herrem.
The other semi-final match is between The Netherlands and Denmark.
The Final and Bronze matches will be played on Sunday.
