Therese Johaug will drop national collection in the Italian Val Senales in next week.
“Johaug will focus on training and prefer some quite time” said a statement from the Norwegian Ski Association.
It became clear on Thursday that Johaug tested positive for the banned substance clostebol after using the cream Trofodermin.
Johaug is now awaiting a decision from Antidoping Norway on the case.
Formally, she had an opportunity to join next week’s meeting in Italy but 28 years old has now decided to stay home.
Norwegian Ski Association in a press release that Johaug will focus on training. She wants to have some quite times on coming days.
