The Norwegian handball girls will open the handball tournament at Rio Olympics against host nation Brazil.
This became clear after the fixtures for the Olympic tournaments in handball was announced Wednesday.
Thorir Hergeirsson’s crew will begin their championship matches with the match against Brazil on August 6, before meeting Spain two days later.
This will be followed by matches against Angola and Montenegro, before the group stage ends with a match against Romania on 14 August.
The opening match against Brazil, will start at 14.30 Norwegian time, while the other group matches will start in the evening.
