Sports president would really have liked more in the Olympics

Norway sends 62 athletes to the Olympics in Rio. Sports president Tom Tvedt, who is the elected leader of an Olympic squad for the first time, had hoped for even more Norwegian athletes.

– Optimally, I would probably wish that we send more, because we were in a situation where the football women had a great chance to qualify. Handball team for men was also in the picture after the good performance they did. If it had gone in, Norway would have posed the biggest squad ever, says Tvedt.

He is still very clear that the squad comprised of the best sportsmen and women Norway can present, and he reminds that the expectations of a summer Olympics may not be as big as a Winter Olympics for winter nation Norway.
