Several thousand people watched  France win the opening match of the European Football Championship at Kontraskjæret in Oslo on Friday.

Spectators were sitting close together and enjoying themselves with the food, drink and EM football at the many long tables of a colorful Kontraskjær in the capital on Friday.
The month-long soccer party opened at 21 o’clock Friday night. During a evening blue sky audience could see the host nation France play the Championship opening match against Romania on the giant big screens.
Many of the audience were dressed and painted in the colors of their respective countries – and it was “Les Bleus” who first got a reason to cheer when Giroud placed France in the lead after 57 minutes with a header. Romania equalized just ten minutes later on a penalty, but in the end the Romanian supporters on Kontraskjæret still had to face defeat when Payet put in France’s winning goal two minutes before full time.
On Saturday the football party will  continue with three new games, thousands of colorful fans and hopefully many goals.
All matches of the championship will be shown on the big screens at Kontraskjæret at Akershus Fortress – right up to the final on July 10.
