Starting 1 November, Norwegian will offer direct flights between Oslo Airport and major US city Las Vegas. Norwegian is also adding one additional weekly departure on its route to Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale today, 23 March.

The direct route between Oslo Airport and Las Vegas will be the eighth direct flight to the US, and it will run every Tuesday throughout the entire year. The route will be flown with a Boeing 787-8, which can accommodate 291 passengers.

“This is good news for all enthusiastic Norwegian travellers. Las Vegas is one of the world’s most well-known cities and we are very pleased that Norwegian has set up this route,” says Vice President of Traffic Development at Oslo Airport,” Jasper Spruit.

Doubles frequency to Los Angeles

An increase of one weekly departure to the US metropolis Los Angeles means that Norwegian will service this route twice per week, with departures on Wednesday and Sundays.

“A clear sign that the route is doing very well, and there is a need for more frequent flights. The US is a very popular destination for Norwegians, and we are now seeing that direct routes have become particularly popular, both for people heading out for holidays and for business travellers,” says Spruit.

Good Norwegian network

Today, Norwegian passengers can fly direct from Oslo to New York, Puerto Rico, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco in the USA. Flights to Boston will start up in April. The major network in the US, combined with Norwegian’s one-way tickets, provide more options for travellers who want to combine flights and experience even more on their US holiday. For example, you can fly to Los Angeles, spend a couple of days in Hollywood and Beverly Hills, before driving on to Las Vegas. In addition to every imaginable entertainment in “Sin City”, many people also make the trip from there to explore the Grand Canyon, or drive through Death Valley to San Francisco, where you can catch a direct flight home to Norway. There are a multitude of varied combinations for travellers who are looking for an adventure on the US west coast.

“We are very pleased to offer another US route for our passengers, this time between Oslo and Las Vegas. We are also doubling the number of departures between Oslo and Los Angeles due to very good response on both sides of the Atlantic. We note strong demand for Norwegian’s quality product and low prices between the US and Europe, and we look forward to welcoming travellers on board our new Dreamliners on this brand new route,” says Chief Commercial Officer in Norwegian, Thomas Ramdahl.
