King Harald and Crown Prince Haakon visited the  new intelligence ship of the armed forces, Marjata, in Horten on Wednesday.

The king and the crown prince were first given a tour and then a briefing on the ship, according to the Military.
The New Marjata which is the fourth ship in the series by that name, is scheduled to be commissioned in the northern areas during the spring.
The last vessel that bore the name Marjata, is also docked in Horten. That ship, which is now called Eger, will from next year patrol areas in the Barents and Norwegian Sea after a major upgrade,  the newspaper VG reports.
– Although Russia does not pose a concrete military threat to Norway today, we consider that developments in Russia may eventually represent a significant potential risk and challenge for Norway. From the perspective of the Intelligence Service, it is therefore essential that we keep a close eye on what happens in this area, Lieutenant General Morten Haga Lunde, chief of the Intelligence Service, told the newspaper.
