Join us for a different kind of Christmas concert

‘Under the Bridges’ concerts are held in Oslo, Trondheim, Lillehammer and Hamar. We welcome you to an evocative experience.

‘Under the Bridges’ is a Christmas concert placed in an environment where the Salvation Army and others often find people who have sought shelter from the elements and who do not easily fit in with the ‘good company’.

The Salvation Army started their work under the city’s bridges, and by holding Christmas concerts in these places, often thought of as dark and dirty corners of the cities, we try to focus on that Jesus came to our world, not in a royal manner but to share our strenuous lives with us.

Here we meet him in the dark and the cold and celebrate that God came near and became one of us. We follow him briefly – until he is persecuted and must embark on a journey he does not know how it will end. Like many in our time who embarks on insecure journeys , he hopes of a better future. Under the Bridges is the message of Christmas; that he came to us poor and  little, in a stable.
