The Crown Princess Mette-Marit says that it is a miracle that a small country like Norway has so many authors that get a lot of attention and  cause enthusiasm outside of Norway

I’m happy and proud to be involved in bringing attention to writers , said the Crown Princess – who have received considerable attention for her literary railroad journeys – when she spoke during Nynorsk woman power in the House of Literature in Oslo on Tuesday.
The event on International Women’s Day on March 8 dealt with the emergence of new female voices among the writers in  nynorsk literature.
– The literature has always been a place where you are asked the question of what it means to be human. The literature is my own special place, where I  can develop as a person, the Crown Princess said.
She talked about the “nynorsk language space” and the importance of being able to write in your own language, but did not enter into the controversies surrounding Princess Ingrid Alexandra schooling. Noregs Mållag are among those who have criticized that the princess will not be taught any Nynorsk in the private school Oslo International School, where she is a student. According to the Castle, the Crown Prince couple are making sure that Ingrid Alexandra receive “appropriate training” in Nynorsk.
