Rod Stewart to release new album

On September the 28th, Rod Stewart will be finished with his 30th studio album, ‘Blood Red Roses’.The album highlights Stewart’s renowned songwriting talent, which has made him one of the world’s greatest musical artists.

 

Blood Red Roses contains 13 new songs, as well as three cover songs, and is Stewart’s first in three years. The album follows Another Country (2015) and Time (2013), and will be released almost 50 years and a day after signing his first contract as solo artist.

The first taste out is “Did Not I”.

Of the new album, he said, “I always think I make albums for a few friends and this record has that intimacy. Sincerity and honesty go a long way in life and the same is true of song-writing”.

The album is co-produced by his long-standing partner,Kevin Savigar, and moves easily from acoustically driven songs through Motown inspired pop and R&B, to rock and heart rending ballads.
