In 2009, a group of young Sikhs from Oslo invited the city’s population to get to know meaning behind the turban for the first time. Over the next ten years, the event has grown considerably and is now a fixture in Oslo’s cultural calendar, as well as a valued contribution to making Oslo the best city in the world to be different.

On 13 April you can learn how to put on a turban, taste Indian food, dance and enjoy many other activities at Spikersuppa, the park between the Parliament building and the National Theatre. The event is free and open for everybody. READ MORE about The Norwegian Turban Day turns ten

This is a great event and I recomend everyone to participate.
The Sikhs are warm, friendly and go to great length to share their culture.
On top of all this they give free food (wich is according to their religion) and the food is not only delicious it is vegetarian so very inclusive.
I have participated in this event twice myself and recomend it to everyone!
