Three of four Norwegian universities climb on the QS World University Rankings list of the world’s best universities.
The University of Oslo is ranked 119th in 2020, the year the ranking applies, against 135th place last year, and is considered Norway’s best university, according to the 16th edition of QS World University Rankings (QS).
The University of Bergen climbs from 171 to 163 and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) goes from 363 to 359th place.
The University of Tromsø is the only university in Norway that experiences a decline, and falls from 369 to 389.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is the world’s best university for the eighth consecutive year, followed by Stanford University and Harvard University, all in the US.
The best Nordic university is the University of Copenhagen, which climbs from 79th to 72th place. The University of Lund is the second best university, which is at the status quo of 92th place.
QS has ranked 1,000 universities from 82 different countries.
