Fisher-Price is recalling nearly 5 million infant sleepers after more than 30 babies rolled over in them and died since the product was introduced in 2009. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says that anyone who bought any models of the Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play sleeper should stop using it right away and contact Fisher-Price for a refund. The recall covers about 4.7 million of the sleepers, which cost between $40 and $149. (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission via AP)

The US Consumer Council, CPSC, revoked Fisher-Price highchairs after at least 32 children have died.

‘’Infants have died in the high chair after the child has rolled from the back to the stomach or the side while they were not attached’’ said a statement from the CPSC.

They stopped the 4.7 million Fisher-Price ‘Rock ‘n Play’ chair after at least 32 children had died since 2009.

On Friday, Fisher-Price said that they had voluntarily revoked all the chairs in cooperation with CPSC.

“Although we still trust the safety of all our products, we have decided that recall is the best measure” the company said.

At the same time, they pointed out that the deaths had occurred after use “in violation of safety instructions and warnings”.
