A total of 1,500 people are in danger of losing their jobs in Aker Solutions this year. Now 600 people in the subsea division in Norway are at risk of becoming victims of the downsizing.
The company says in a statement that up to 600 employees at the plants at Fornebu, Moss, Tranby and Ågotnes may be affected by downsizing.
– These are difficult but necessary steps to strengthen the competitiveness of the subsea business, Norway’s CEO Per Harald Kongelf in Aker Solutions says.
