Fresh numbers show that 47,251 vehicles are without auto insurance in Norway. – insurance companies believe this is worrisome.

As a result of the road tax being included in auto insurance, now everyone who does not have insurance, will receive a daily penalty of 150 kroner.

“If you do not have such insurance, you will be financially responsible for all damages you create,” says communications manager Pål Rune Eklo of Gjensidige to P4.

Eklo means the number of unsecured vehicles is very high.

“Personal injury can quickly become a million kroner,” he emphasizes.

At the end of 2017 there were 111,188 uninsured vehicles in Norway.
