The aircraft manufacturer Boeing supports Norwegian’s application for a flight license for its Irish subsidiary to handle routes between Europe and the United States.

US authorities have had Norwegian’s license application for its Irish subsidiary Norwegian Air International under inspection since December 2013.
Part of the reason for the dely is the persistent argument from competitors and unions on both sides of the Atlantic who believe that Norwegian will use crews from low-cost countries and thus hollow out existing labor rights.
Boeing may be losing the support of one of its key customers, writes E24, citing the Washington-based newspaper The Herald of Everett.
Boeing produces the Dreamliners that Norwegian planes to purchase 42 models of in 2020. Norwegian is also an important customer of Boeing’s new version of the 737 with a total potential purchase of 100 total aircrafts.
If Norwegian does not get its Irish license, according Boeing spokesman Paul Bergman, this could undermine job growth in the air industry in Washington.
So far, Norwegian has been flying to and from the United States under the company’s Norwegian license.
