Sunday is the housing market’s first big viewing round of the autumn season. Potential buyers in Oslo have less to choose from this year than in 2017.

E24 web site has reviewed ‘Finn’ figures for housing ads at the start of the housing market autumn season, and the figures show that the market is not at a sellers high level. In total, there are 1,459 homes on a national basis on Sunday, 853 of these views will take place in Oslo. The number of views of Oslo homes is lower than in three of the past four years.

“It is a useful volume for the season,” said Carl O. Geving, Director of the Norwegian Real Estate Association, to the financial web site.

Several analysts, including Norges Bank, had predicted a supply flood of homes this autumn, much due to the expected completion of housing started in 2016.

“So far, there is nothing that indicates unusually high supply volumes, but it’s too early to say what it will look like in the autumn,” Geving said.

The display figure the same Sunday last year for Oslo was on over 900 views. In 2014 the number was 1,198 views, and in 2015 the number was 1,055 show figures from E24. In 2016, however, there were only 442 views.
