The Norwegian CAA has so far this year recorded 16 incidents where drones have been implicated, including four accidents and five incidents of almost accidents.

– We receive reports from pilots and towers where drones have been observed in airspace belonging to an airport or been in conflict with aircraft or helicopters, says section chief Thomas Hytten in the CAA to news agency NTB

Since records began in 2011, the Authority has registered 67 cases, all 27 of them in 2015 and 16 so far in 2016. Sometimes it goes wrong or almost wrong and drones fall, crash or hit others in the air.

CAA says it is a marked increase in inquiries and issues. To fly drones commercially or for benefit one must be an operator. It is now registered or approved 1,475 operators in Norway, with a daily influx of about 30 declarations and applications.
