The chain store for electrical products Expert will be cancelling the collective bargaining agreement with several hundred employees and instead increase the bonus shares of their employees .
A total of 446 employees at Expert will be affected by the change, and LO is worried about the consequences of what they see as a shift in power, NRK reported.
– This is a trend that we are noticing, that the employer gets more power so that he or she has more freedom to adjust the working hours and pay, deputy leader Bjørn Mietinen in Commerce and office says.
He believes this often has to do with union busting, but personnel manager in Expert Morten Hovland does not agree.
– I think that’s totally, totally wrong. Our aim is to bring about a more performance-oriented culture in our business and we think this will lead to more satisfied customers, he says.
