The government proposes several rule changes that will make it faster, cheaper and easier to build housing.

Simpler rules can reduce the time required for processing in many municipalities with 30 to 50 percent,  Local Government and Modernisation Minister Jan Tore Sanner says.

– Our proposal envisages easier and faster planning processes, increased predictability and fewer rounds of discussions in building matters. That’s a good thing both for young people to who seek to enter the housing market,  for the industry and for the municipalities,  Sanner says
The proposals are a part  of the Government’s efforts to renew, simplify and improve the public sector. The aim is to make life easier both for citizens and businesses.
