Ship-owner and investor John Fredriksen is considering moving the headquarters of the rig company Seadrill from London, after Britain’s decision to leave the EU.

– The city is expensive and we have options like Houston, Aberdeen or the Far East, says Fredriksen about the Seadrill headquarters to newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.

Fredriksen told the newspaper that he does not see any major Brexit-consequences for Frontline. The reason is that most of the chartering activity is done from Oslo, and increasingly Singapore.

The companies of Fredriksen fell over 400 million in value after the UK opted to leave the EU, according to the newspaper.
There was a controversy when Seadrill moved headquarters from Stavanger to London in 2013.
