Government wants to speed up the work on planning Fornebu Line and dedicate 50 million in next year’s budget.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg has already promised to take half of the bill for several large infrastructure projects in the Oslo area.

Now they also provide money to speed up planning of Fornebu Line, writes Aftenposten. According to the newspaper, this is the first time the government gives money to the planning of a local transport project.

– We show through funding that we want good progress. We are ready to pay money quickly.

Now there is no reason to sit and wait. Fornebu Line is important for the government. Now we hope the city council prioritizes construction, says Transport Minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen.

– There have been a few laps in the planning that has delayed the project. Now there must be pressure on regulatory activities in Oslo.

As part of this project large residential areas will be constructed and many jobs will be created. Therefore, we need the field quickly, supplementing Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

Chief Commissioner Raymond Johansen is happy for the money and says the city council sets “No Limit” on regulatory activities.
