Hotels revenue halved in Stavanger

Hotels in Stavanger have gone from being the country’s most profitable to a halving of the revenue in just over a year.

‘No one makes money there now’, says Chief Executive Torgeir Silseth in Nordic Choice chain to today’s Business. He added that they probably are through the worst period,

‘ I don’t think we’ll get some new boom and get back to the good old times in the next 12 to 24 months, but we think the bottom is reached’

New numbers from Benchmarking Alliance shows that all the Alliance cities in the so-called oil belt had a negative development in the past year. Oslo, Bodø and Lillehammer, however, make it better this year than last year, as the figures show.
