More passengers by bus

Public transport increased by 9.4 million passengers from the second quarter of 2015 to the same period in 2016.

After weak progress for some time, scheduled buses had the strongest passenger growth.

Buses had a total passenger growth of more 7.5 million passengers, or 9.3 per cent, from the second quarter of 2015 to the Corresponding quarter in 2016. Meanwhile, tram / underground and railways had a passenger growth of 4.3 and 3.0 per cent respectively. Transport by passenger boat remained almost UNCHANGED.

Increased ticket Revenue
Overall, ticket Revenue Increased by NOK 250 million, or 10.9 per cent, from the second quarter of 2015 and totaled more than NOK 3.3 billion in the second quarter of 2016. The strongest growth was by railway, wooden Increased by 13.7 per cent, while buses only got 2.8 per cent more.
