Over 1.75 million passengers flew with Norwegian in January, 9 percent more than the same month last year.

New domestic flights in Spain and flights between the Caribbean and the United States contributed to the rise in the numbers of passengers, says the airline.

The  filling degree of planes was 81.7 percent. This is an increase of 1.7 percentage points from January last year.

– We are pleased that we continue to fill planes as well in a low season month as January. The Traffic growth was stronger international commitment, with domestic flights in Spain and not least the routes between the French Caribbean and the US East Coast. In addition, we have gotten more passengers on our long-distance flights, says Norwegian’s CEO, Bjørn Kjos.

Norwegian carried 99.5 percent of its scheduled flights are in January. Of these eased 72.3 percent at the time stated.
