Retail sales for NOK 225 billion

The turnover in retail sales was more than NOK 225 in the first half of 2016; an increase of NOK 7 billion, or 3.3 per cent from the same period in 2015.

By comparison, the index of retail sales showed an increase of 3.1 per cent during the same period.

In May and June (3rd period), the retail sales had a turnover of almost NOK 84 billion; an increase of 4.3 per cent from the 3rd period last year.

Increase in trade and repair of motor vehicles

Sales and repair of motor vehicles totalled NOK 121 billion in the first six months of 2016; a growth of 10.6 per cent compared to the same period in 2015.

In the third period, the sales and repair of motor vehicles increased by 12 per cent compared to the same period in 2015.

Wholesale of NOK 450 billion

The turnover in wholesale was NOK 450 billion during the first half of this year; an increase of 5.9 per cent from last year.

In the third period, the wholesale turnover was 7.6 per cent more than the same period in 2015.
