The negotiations for the so-called national collective agreement for hotels and restaurants have broken down. This means that employees at hotels and restaurants might go on strike from Friday night.

Unions and NHO travelling will meet for compulsory arbitration at the National Arbitrator’s office on Wednesday. The compulsory arbitration will start at 10 o’clock, and the  deadline for the   arbitration is at midnight on Friday 22. April.
If the parties fail to come to an agreement within the deadline, the 3351 members in 356 NHO enterprises in Rogaland, Hordaland, Nordland, Oslo, Sør-Trøndelag and Vestfold will go on  strike.
99 members at seven companies in Oslo, Oslo, Sør-Trøndelag and Hordaland that have a direct agreement with Fellesforbundet(the Joint association, a division of LO), will also go on strike.
Hotels, restaurants and company canteens will all be affected by a  possible conflict.
