In December, a total of 293 million liters of car petrol and diesel were sold in Norway.

That is a decrease of 6% compared with the same month last year, according to Statistics Norway (SSB).

There was a decline in both car petrol and diesel sales last year.

Statistics Norway (SSB) reports that 223 liters of diesel were sold in December last year. That is 11 million liters less than the same period in 2019.

Sales of car petrol fell by 7 million liters and stopped at 70 million liters.

Preliminary figures show that total sales of petroleum products last year fell by 13% in 2020 compared with the previous year. Just over half of the decline is due to reduced jet fuel sales.
