It’s caught by Viggo and his is boat called Ridder, Prime Minister Erna Solberg told the press when talking about  the king crab which will shortly end its days in a restaurant in Asia.

Seoul or Dubai is a likely stopover for the king crab, which met the Prime Minister at the airport on Tuesday.
For although the salmon still is the most popular product in a growing export market for Norwegian seafood,  the king crab is often mentioned as an example of how new technology and streamlined logistics opens new markets.

Some stylish
– Fresh products is the much better than crabs that has been frozen down. It’s all about flow throughout the chain. And it’s very exciting how these king crabs only needs to be cooled down to be sold live at the restaurant. And people pay more for a king crab that is sold live at a restaurant than a frozen,  Solberg says to the news agency NTB.
By using QR reader on your phone, she could trace the king crab back to the fisherman who caught it.
– This has a weight of 3.5 kilograms. It also says also that the biggest crab Viggo has caught had of weight of 6.5 kilograms. This is actually quite cool,  Solberg exclaimed.

Restructuring

The Prime Minister visited the seafood terminal at Gardermoen as part of preparations for her trip to Singapore and South Korea in the second week in April.
– I will meet  Norwegian companies and executives there for talks about Norwegian business and our opportunities for development in the markets. This is also about realignment of Norway, for global markets will be even more important to us in the future. In addition, I have meetings about the UN goals of sustainable development, where an important topic will be what rich countries like Norway can do to meet their goals,  Solberg says.

The new oil
It’s  rather doubtful that there will be a reunion with Viggo’s crab under Solberg’s Asia trip . On the Tuesday when Prime Minister visited, which is described as a quiet day,  700 kilograms were flown to Seoul and 200 kg to Dubai,
–  We had record results  for  our seafood products  last year and will continue the start  of this year with new records. There ar many other products and industries that will be important in keeping the economy of Norway strong, but fish is part of the new oil, says Solberg.
Otherwise, the program for the Asia trip will include meetings with President and Prime Minister of Singapore and President of South Korea, as well as a visit to the demilitarized zone on the border with North Korea.
