Statoil provides major contract to small company in Rogaland

The small oil services company Deepwell has been awarded a contract by Statoil with a total value of over 2 billion kroner.

The contract is to provide services to ten platforms and eleven drilling rigs. It runs over four years, worth one billion starting in February 2017, according to Dagens Næringsliv.

Included in the deal are also three-year options, which increases the total contract value of over 2 billion kroner if they are utilized.

– The contract is seen as evidence of Deep Wells strong operating performance under the existing contract with Statoil, and Deep Wells competitive position in the market, says Deep Wells CEO Martha Kold Bakkeviks.

The relevant platforms Gullfaks A, B and C, Statfjord A, B and C, Snorre A and B, as well as Sleipner A and West, in addition to eleven unnamed rigs.
